[ after albert and brianna declared their plans to go out on a date for the rest of the evening, she took it upon herself to personally watch lyssa until they returned home, despite her former plans with her boyfriend. it's with that change (and realization of what she did at the very last moment) that she calls up caleb to tell him the news, sounding disappointed until she ~~gleefully~~ casually suggested that he come over to help. after some convincing that yes, albert won't be here and yes, she'll wait for him by the door, is done and over with, she happily skips down the stairs after telling lyssa's personal ~~ninja~~ butler that she'll be back shortly.

plops down on the second to last step of the stairs while happily swaying and humming to herself, her eyes planted on the doorway to wait for caleb to enter. ]

[ gives a squeeze & tugs her along when the elevator door dings open. ]

If you say, she will! She is good at challenge!

[ laughs lightly, finding that both cute and... something else, and thus: ]

She's good at everything, isn't she...

[ seems to puff up in pride ~~over his mom~~ a little. ]

Ja!!

[ stops when they come up to his apartment, lifting her hands to put them on his cheeks. guides his face down for a brief kiss. ]

Then I'm glad she likes me enough to help me.

[ bends down for a deeper kiss after they part & nathania speaks. pulls back & nuzzles their noses together. ]

I like Nathan-ee-ah. So my family like Nathan-ee-ah. Is just that.

[ nuzzles back briefly, pulling back even more to look him in the eye. absently runs a hand through his hair, switching languages: ]

< And my family likes Caleb. > [ pauses. huffs in amusement. ] < Even if Albert hasn't properly met you, I'm sure he'd approve. Because you make me happy, and I love you. That's all that matters. >

[ draws her into a hug, letting her rest against his chest as he noses at her hair. ]

Danke. Ich liebe dich auch.

[ pushes her face into his chest, burying herself into that hug. as much as she wants to bask in it for longer than a minute or two, priorities force her to peek up at him as best as she can, knowing they have to go inside soon. and then: ]

< I'm thirsty. Do you have any milk? >

[ kisses the middle of her forehead & pulls away to unlock his door. then scrambles inside to hold the door open ~~a little awkwardly~~. ]

< I do! It's in the fridge and I can get it for you, but please come in first! >

[ can't stop herself from smiling widely at the ~~cute~~ gesture, stepping inside. ]

< Thank you! >

[ closes the door behind her & quickly peels off his shoes so that he can scamper toward the kitchen area. yelps in pain when he ends up running into the table, but that only seems to slow him down rather than to stop him so he has the glass of milk soon enough.

shuffling back over to nathania (slower, on account of the glass in his hand), he hands it over to her. ]

< Milk, like you wanted! >

[ had only glanced up from taking off her own shoes when she heard that cry of pain, shaking her head a little. neatly arranges the shoes next to each other, standing fully again to accept the milk. uses her free hand to lift up and ruffles his hair. ]

< You're so sweet. Thank you! >

[ leans down a bit so he can get more ruffles. ]

< You're welcome! I'm happy to help! >

[ does it even more with the encouragement, stroking his hair a few times before lifting up to kiss his nose. shuffles towards the couch, taking a seat so she can drink her milk. gulp gulp... when she has half of it finished: ]

< Do you have something I can wear to bed tonight? I don't think I have anything of mine over here right now. >

[ stops mid-way from sitting down himself, thinking in that awkward position for a moment. then straightens, as if he has an idea. ]

< I have a bunch of clothes! I don't mind sharing! You can have some of mine if Nathan-ee-ah is okay with it! >

< I don't mind! A shirt or something would be okay, I think... >

< I can get you both a shirt and pants! > [ pauses. ] < Maybe shorts. . . I'll go look! >

[ & he's off on this newly found mission, once again only stopping to let out another high whimper of pain when he crashes into the doorway of his room. this process doesn't take long either as he doesn't own a lot of clothes (still just the ones that hilda bought him); he picks out the shirt and shorts that he finds the most comfortable & hooks them over an arm.

ambling back to where he left nathania, he holds them up for her inspection. ] < Are these okay? >

[ quietly sips her milk while he rummages around, looking up once he returns. beams and nods, setting the now empty glass to the side so she can take the clothes into her hands. ]

< They're perfect! > [ stands, scooting over in the direction of the bathroom. ] < Is it okay if I change now? >

[ finally settles himself down on the couch, stretching a little. ]

< Yes, please feel free! >

[ trots into the bathroom after being given the okay, shutting the door before wiggling out of her clothes to slip on caleb's. looks at herself in the mirror, tugging her hairband out to let her hair down. nods and comes out to stand in front of caleb, putting her hands on her hips while puffing out her chest a little. ]

< How do I look? >

[ blinks at her, looking more & more apologetic. ]

< Erm. . . > [ seems to flounder for a moment, then just blurts out: ] < I'm sorry, Nathan-ee-ah! Should I try to find something smaller? Maybe I still have some of my kid-clothes left over. . . >

[ thought she looked pretty okay, up until he says that. see icon for current expression as she squeaks out: ]

< K-KID CLOTHES?! >

< Yes! Smaller clothes that might fit you better. That would be more comfortable, right? >

< B-But...! > [ squats on the ground, curling up a little bit as she clings to the clothes. ] < I'm... I'm fine in these! Grown-up clothes! I can wear them! >

. . . ? [ peers over at her curiously. ] < But aren't they uncomfortable? You're always going to have to pull them up. >
