[ is standing near the entrance of the starbucks where he had first met nathan, looking strangely compliant & calm as he listens & reacts (as quietly & discreetly as he's capable) to the bustling crowd of the afternoon. it's not so busy as to give him a headache, but busy enough to keep him entertained as he waits for his teammate/friend. ]

[ watches him for a moment, thinking that he's going to start moving... then shifts his eyes away and groans a little underneath his breath, murmuring a short "c'mon" before leading the way. ]

[ follows along quietly, head turning left to right as he tries to take in as much as he can, fascinated by the shape of (nathan's) city & his new home. ]

[ watches him in the corner of an eye, just silently observing. tilts his head back so he can look at the sky as they make their way, attempting to think of something they could talk about in the meantime. ]

[ hums a little bit in reply, swinging his hands back to cup the back of his head with them. decides that it's okay to keep asking questions as he was (silently, without real order) elected to 'take care' of caleb. ]

[ feels embarrassed by that, keeping his gaze firmly on the sky. ]

[ takes a quick step forward so that the distance between them is not as great, the motion almost unconscious as he considers the question. ]

Kid is loud. But is okay. Kid is happy with mom.

[ gives him a considering look, trying to piece some things together in his mind. stores it away for later, nodding once. ]

Haven't found a permanent apartment, then?

[ shakes his head again, but looks unworried. ]

[ looks him up and down, but eventually just shrugs, turning once more so that he's walking normally again, deciding to go quiet for the rest of their short trip. ]

[ as promised they come upon the apartment building in question. simply walks the path that he seems to know even if he doesn't frequent the trip there, stopping after they go up some stairs and stand in front of a door.

turns to caleb, tilting his head to the side. ]

[ needs to blink a little to clear away the excess information in his head, turning & giving nathan his full attention when he nods the affirmative. ]
