[ pulls onto the street across from anthony's apartment complex to park his car, turning the vehicle off before leaning back into the seat in silence. a day when they're both free was rare to come by nowadays, thus the sudden decision to grab the boy when he was given the a-okay by anthony himself. only this time he was going to him instead of the other way around, a good way to practice on getting back into something more comfortable with the friend(s) he had not been able to spend time with as often as he would have liked. still, it was a good start, and that's really all that mattered to him.

drums his fingers against the steering wheel in thought, shaking his head before getting out of the car, pocketing his keys after he's locked up. doesn't take any time in doing the typical routine (that he had not been able to do in quite some time)-- walks in, waits for the elevator, steps inside to push the button for the correct floor number, then strolls on out when the ding signals his arrival. his feet carry him at a leisurely pace towards the apartment, arriving in no time at all; after he knocks he shoves his hands into his pockets, taking a look around the hallway as if this were his first time visiting. a moment's thought makes him grin to himself a little (the things that happened last time they were alone together, still going over that day with some fondness attached despite the bad moments), schooling the smile to instead train his eyes on the door to wait for his friend to appear. ]

[ is quiet for a little while after that, seemingly mulling something over. ]

. . . You can get there too. If you come to the Harry Potter movie with Lyssa and me.

I don't want to go to Neverland. [ pauses, focusing on that last part for a moment. ] But I guess I can do a movie. Depends on my schedule. When is it?

November. Midnight showing.

[ drums his fingers on the steering wheel, humming in thought. ]

I'll see what I can do.

[ aborts his action of prodding tony's side half-way, thinking against it while his friend is still driving. ]

Do not make double-teaming necessary.

[ which is a wise choice, considering that he's pulling into the parking lot of the mall finally. ]

What kind of double-teaming are we talking about here?

Lyssa's famous puppy eyes.

[ pauses. ] And my hair?

[ makes a urking sound briefly at that, looking a little pained. ]

Okay, okay... I'll go to your movie-thing.

[ holds up a fist as he murmurs a yeeeesss. then turns to tony again. ]

And we're going in costume.

I'll be sure to take photos of you kids, then.

[ shakes his head. ]

You must be brave, Gryffindor.

[ shakes his own head. ]

Nuh-uh. I didn't agree to dressing up. That's for Halloween parties.

[ sighs. ]

Double-teaming it is.

[ pulls into a parking spot, quirking an eyebrow down at anthony. ]

Then I'm not going at all.

[ stares at him for a moment. ]

. . . You're going to say no to Lyssa?

[ shrugs, turning off the car. pops the door open after getting his seat belt off, giving anthony a glance. ]

She'll be fine with just you.

[ hangs onto his response until he's out of the car as well, shoulders drooping a tad despite his unchanging expression. ]

She wanted you to come.

[ smiles a little despite himself, closing the door to his car before stepping away from it. ]

I'll think about it.

[ strolls around it to shuffle on over to tony's side. ]

'Kay. Let us know, then.

[ gives a brief nod, hands going into his pockets again as he switches topics. ]

So where do you get your toys, chocobo?

First stop. Toys "R" Us.

[ heads in the direction of the entrance of the mall, moseying on in when they arrive to begin their trek to the magical land of ~~anthony's happiness and joy~~ toys. ]

[ when they arrive, his eyes are already jumping from store to store, only lingering when something catches his attention. gives tony a single tug before he starts wandering toward a smaller store with asian-related merchandise. ]

[ blinks down at anthony when he feels the tug, stopping in his tracks to see where he's going. looks briefly confused at his choice of store but doesn't say a word, moseying on over behind his friend to await for whatever doom would fall upon him. ]

[ face takes on a pleased blush the moment they enter the store, quickly making a beeline toward where the pokemon plushes sit lined up against a wall. takes the time to pet each one, before he picks up the eevee plush. tucking it against his chest, he turns to present it to tony. ]
