[ shakes her head, rubbing her face into his side. ]

[ twitches a bit when the motion seems to tickle him a bit, but smiles nonetheless. ]

[ kisses his shoulder. ]

[ puffs out his chest proudly. ]

[ leans on him lightly, happy in the silence for a bit. a thought strikes her soon enough, however. ]

Did you have enough to eat? I can make you something when we get to your place.

[ peers down at his tummy as they walk. ]

Ehh. . . I am okay. I drink strawberry milk!

I really don't think that's enough... Hilda used to fix you a lot of food, didn't she?

Ja, but Hilda can do more than anyone. So is okay! Nathan-ee-ah do not have to worry!

[ seems to droop a little, but nods anyway. ]

[ blinks down at her. ]

Nathan-ee-ah want to cook a lot?

Um. Someday, yes. For you. [ pauses. shakes her head. ] I can wait, though. I'll make you something really special.

[ blinks a bit, then looks excited. ]

Special?! Food only Nathan-ee-ah can make?

[ also blinks. feels like she was misunderstood, backtracking a little: ]

N-No, I'm sure other people would be able to make it... but I'll try to make it really special regardless.

[ still looks confused until he feels like he has it: ]

[ nuzzles him in appreciation. after some more silence: ]

Thanks for watching the baby with me tonight. It was a lot of fun. You were really good with him!

[ bends down to give her head a kiss. ]
