[ packs the essential water bottles & sandwiches in his backpack before he's off, putt putt putting to the fair's designated parking spot. doesn't immediately head for the meeting spot, however, strolling on over the bathroom first to do his business. before he leaves, he takes a moment to poke at some of the misbehaving strands on his head in a slightly disgruntled manner. attempts smoothing the strands down twice, then shakes his head, accepting the catastrophe that had been yesterday's sudden rain shower.

making his way back into the outside world, he ignores the trail of waddling seagulls behind him & begins to lazily walk toward the ticket booth to wait for alyssa & tony. ]

[ keeps up the tugging, but reaches back with his free hand to give his cheek a pat. ]

[ & sure enough he spots it, perking up instantly to drag anthony the rest of the way. stands in line with a little bounce, but otherwise says nothing. ]

[ glances at the prices once, then pulls his hand away to retrieve his wallet. ]

[ raises an eyebrow down at him for a moment before taking out his own wallet. ]

You keep your money. I think I've got this.

[ jabs an elbow into his side. ]

How do you owe me one? I got you that out of the goodness of my heart. [ fishes out his money. ] Besides, I get to do whatever I want with you for a day, remember?

[ switches tactics & lightly grasps at his wrist, giving him a strange look. ]

Then this is my good deed of the day.

[ raises an eyebrow down at him, still looking amused. ]

Do you want to save me that badly? Don't lose your gold just for me.

[ shrugs, turning his eyes away to count how many people are in front of them. ]

Sidekick needs some screen time.

[ sighs and tugs his wrist away, putting both his hands into his pockets. ]

Fine, fine. But I'm buying you candy later, little boy.

[ gives him a brief smile. ]

Can't. Daddy told me no candy from strange old men.

[ kicks an invisible rock. ]

[ shakes his head & asks for a mixed slushie when it's their turn. ]

[ snickers and takes the slushie, using his other arm to drape it over anthony's shoulders. leans down to breathe into his ear: ]

Not picky, remember?

[ then gives him a kiss on the cheek before sipping happily at his drink. ]

[ flushes down to the base of his neck, twitching his head away instinctively though he doesn't protest beyond that. mumbles: ]

[ laughs at that, leaning his head down again to rest it on top of anthony's while pulling him a bit closer. ]

[ grunts lightly & turns his face into tony's shoulder. ]

But no preference? At all?

Eh, not really. I mean, I'd rather have girls, sure, but I won't push back a guy. [ pauses. sips his slushie. ] Especially if they're cute.

[ peers at him in honest curiosity. ]

[ blinks down at him and tilts his head, though his lips twitch up a tad. ]

What do you mean?

[ makes vague motions with a hand. ]

Settling down. Marriage. Babies.

[ laughs a little at that, gaze going forward again. uses his free hand to weave his fingers through anthony's hair gently. ]

I'm not so sure about that, chocobo.
