[ pulls onto the street across from anthony's apartment complex to park his car, turning the vehicle off before leaning back into the seat in silence. a day when they're both free was rare to come by nowadays, thus the sudden decision to grab the boy when he was given the a-okay by anthony himself. only this time he was going to him instead of the other way around, a good way to practice on getting back into something more comfortable with the friend(s) he had not been able to spend time with as often as he would have liked. still, it was a good start, and that's really all that mattered to him.

drums his fingers against the steering wheel in thought, shaking his head before getting out of the car, pocketing his keys after he's locked up. doesn't take any time in doing the typical routine (that he had not been able to do in quite some time)-- walks in, waits for the elevator, steps inside to push the button for the correct floor number, then strolls on out when the ding signals his arrival. his feet carry him at a leisurely pace towards the apartment, arriving in no time at all; after he knocks he shoves his hands into his pockets, taking a look around the hallway as if this were his first time visiting. a moment's thought makes him grin to himself a little (the things that happened last time they were alone together, still going over that day with some fondness attached despite the bad moments), schooling the smile to instead train his eyes on the door to wait for his friend to appear. ]

[ getting ready never takes him very long; having fished out a clean pair of jeans & a simple shirt, he'd been ready since ten minutes ago. it'd left him to sprawl lazily on the couch, letting his sore muscles some reprieve from the week of hard training. when he hears the knock, he rolls off the couch bodily with a loud thump. shaking out his limbs, he shuffles on over to the door, opening it in the same momentum.

-- he almost doesn't stop moving, his face nearly meeting tony's shoulder. but manages to stop on time, straightening to give a sloppy salute. ]

Sidekick is ready to go, commander.

[ looks down at him with a blink when anthony finally comes into view, tilting his head to the side a little at his antics. ]

Y'sure about that?

[ nods & steps out into the hallway, closing the door behind him. ]

I'm a Spartan now.

I know. [ lifts a hand to ruffle his hair, turning a bit to begin their walk down the hallway. ] Congrats again, chocobo!

[ strides up quickly to be walking side-by-side, bumping him with his shoulder. ]

[ swings his arm around anthony's shoulders, resting the limb there. ]

Hey, I'll let you have two if you win a match.

[ hums a little, pressing the button for the elevator when they arrive. ]

Pancake Anthony, huh. [ leans down to rub his nose into his hair. ] Sounds delicious.

[ twitches & jabs an elbow into tony's side, but otherwise holds his ground. ]

Not part of a balanced breakfast.

[ ding. removes his arm from around anthony to step inside the elevator. ]

[ blinks & follows inside, leaning back against one of the walls. is silent for a moment, then glances at tony curiously. ]

Did you join anything?

[ pushes the button for the bottom floor, hands going into his pockets. ]

Naw, I'm too busy for that kinda stuff.

[ looks up at the ceiling of the elevator, head tilting slightly in thought. ]

But girls like that kinda stuff.

[ when the door finally opens he strolls on out, heading out towards the space where he parked in silence. ]

[ trails after once again, doing a full-body stretch. feeling looser, he also keeps to the silence until they arrive at tony's car. peers at it curiously, then gives the roof of it a pat. ]

You should name it Wendy.

[ unlocks the car, giving anthony an amused smile as he opens his door. ]
