[ after albert and brianna declared their plans to go out on a date for the rest of the evening, she took it upon herself to personally watch lyssa until they returned home, despite her former plans with her boyfriend. it's with that change (and realization of what she did at the very last moment) that she calls up caleb to tell him the news, sounding disappointed until she gleefully casually suggested that he come over to help. after some convincing that yes, albert won't be here and yes, she'll wait for him by the door, is done and over with, she happily skips down the stairs after telling lyssa's personal ninja butler that she'll be back shortly.

plops down on the second to last step of the stairs while happily swaying and humming to herself, her eyes planted on the doorway to wait for caleb to enter. ]

Oh. [ pauses. smile tugs at her lips. ] Then I suppose we have the same taste in music.

[ reaches up to carefully touch at strands of her hair. ]

Ja! I am happy.

[ flushes at that, pleased with his words. leans down to peck him on the lips again, smile widening considerably. ]

I'm happy too. Very happy.

[ slides his hand down her face, pressing his palm against her cheek fondly. ]

[ expression softens, giving him a considerably longer kiss until she hears movement and little gurgling noises from the bundle on caleb's chest. pulls back and snickers lightly at the shirt imprint on lyssa's cheek, shifting so her head is resting on caleb's shoulder. ]

Well good morning to you too, sleepyhead! [ gently ruffles the black curls, stroking the strands. ] Aw, look who has wild hair~ You slept good!

[ stares down at the baby a little awkwardly, but grins goofily at the little poofs that he can see. reaches with his free hand to tug lightly at some strands. ]

This is normal? Look like cotton candy!

[ laughs at that, tickling caleb's fingers a little with a few of her own. ]

It's normal! I had weird hair when I was a baby, too.

[ fingers twitch as if they itch. wiggles away for a moment before twining their fingers together. ]

Is family thing? Gee. . . genetics!

I think so... [ is silent for a moment, and then: ] Maybe I'll show you the album we have of us when we were all growing up. It's not your traditional kind, but you'll get to see me and the others as babies.

[ jerks, almost as if to sit up. seems to abort the motion at the last minute, however, just barely keeping himself from bucking nathania & the baby off of him. ]

[ rolls her eyes up to the ceiling in thought (albert isn't around, so maybe...) before she decides to just do it, grinning and standing up before nodding down at him. ]

I think I can show it to you now, but I'll have to bring it to you. Wait right here, okay?

[ stares down at the baby still on his chest & puts a steadying hand on his back, holding him close. ]

I wait with baby. We wait!

[ gives another stupid smile down at them both, reaching to stroke lyssa's hair one more time before taking her leave. hums a happy but nameless tune on her way to albert's study, skipping a little bit in the process. stops once she's in front of the door, cautiously peeking inside to see if the creeper was anywhere to be seen (you never know). when the coast seems clear she sneaks on in, tip-toeing over to the bookshelf where she knows he keeps the album.

nabs it and opens it to look it over a little, nodding once before turning back around to exit the study. ]

[ but of course, right in the entrance/exit of the study, stands the creeper big brother. raising an eyebrow. ]

[ after the surprise has worn off, she stands there for a moment in silence. slowly wraps arms around the album. ]
