[ hits send on the text message to alyssa -- that he's coming to visit for a short while -- before he starts up his scooter & steers himself in the direction of nathan's apartment. his backpack is holding only one thing, but it's precious enough of a bundle that he wears the backpack against his stomach. ignores the looks he's getting both on & off the street, parking tinkerbell in her usual corner spot. it's been almost two weeks since he's saw her (two weeks to recover), which is why he'd armed himself with a present in apology.

stands in front of the door to the stairs for a moment, wondering if he's feeling up to the physical exertion today-- then just changes direction to walk in the direction of the elevator. glances up at the ceiling of it when he's on board & pressed the proper number, feeling a little nervous for no reasons he could consciously finger. decides to shrug it off the best he can when he shuffles off it, rummaging around his backpack to take out the wrapped present before something (someone?) in front of a door catches his eye.

... stops. blinks. ]

. . . ? [ belatedly realizes that the boy is front of the door he needs to reach, making him pause, blink & speak: ] . . . Hi.

[ keeps on looking at him until the elevator goes ding to announce their arrival. steps on out, scooting towards the exit. looks back and forth, then up at anthony again in a silent question of where they're supposed to be going. ]

[ blinks, but follows after him & gestures toward tinkerbell once they're outside. ]

It's about ten minutes away by scooter.

[ hurries on over to said scooter, looking at it from every angle. takes out his cellphone before stepping back once, twice-- click.

glances at the photo, looking a little pleased. puts his cellphone back into his pocket, eyes going up to anthony again as he stands beside the scooter. ]

[ shuffles on over, watching the whole ordeal with some confusion. ]

. . . Uh. Her name is Tinkerbell?

[ eyes widen a little before they go back to tinkerbell. after a pause he tries to wiggle on top of it. ]

[ reaches out, as if to help, then draws back before his hands make contact, looking a little uncertain. in the end, settles with handing him the helmet instead. ]

[ thankfully he makes it on there by himself, reaching out to take the helmet when it's handed to him. when he puts it on it's clearly too big-- the front is shielding his eyes, making him look over at anthony in confusion. ]

[ blinks, taken off guard by the sight. stares for a moment, then bends a bit to reach over again, this time making contact as he tries to adjust the helmet the best he can. fiddles with the strap under the boy's chin. ]

. . . Is this better?

[ puts his hands on the helmet when it's adjusted, giving it a firm few pats. turns to anthony when he thinks it's all good, giving him a thumbs-up. ]

[ nods & gets to his feet. then puts his hand on top of the helmet to wiggle it a bit to test it himself, settling himself onto the scooter only when appeased. ]

Onward to Neverland. And hot water.

[ puts his arms around anthony's middle when the other boy settles, swinging his legs around gently to show him that he's clearly pleased with this situation. ]

[ busily tries to start up tinkerbell, patiently turning the keys over & over again until she finally starts up with her characteristic noise of putt putt putt. reaches down to give the boy's knee a small tap. ]

Keep all limbs inside Tinkerbell's personal space.

[ jumps a little at both the putt putt putt and the knee-tapping, though stays still when he hears anthony's words. ]

[ nods in satisfaction, slowly steering the scooter out of the parking lot & onto the main road. doesn't speak during the trip, though he does give a short glance over his shoulder at the boy every time they hit a red light to check up on him. ]

[ when they get to one of the red lights he takes out his cellphone, typing in something one-handed. reaches to lift it for anthony to see. ]

「 This is like Durarara!, only a little more lame. 」

[ & then pockets it and re-positions himself. ]

[ ignores the first bit upon seeing the second. gives one of the boy's hands a small pinch in retaliation. ]

But she's the third love of my life.

[ jumps at the pinch. knocks the front of the helmet against anthony's back in return. ]

[ grunts & jerks forward a bit at the bump. ]

I don't get warranty for my spine.

[ lets out a loud puff of air through his nose, almost as if he's saying hmph or something akin to it. ]

[ turns his attention back to the road when the light turns green, once again focusing on driving until they arrive safely at their location of interest. waits until tinkerbell quiets down, then gestures toward the little cafe tucked in between two other shops. ]

Ta-da.

[ looks over at the cafe when he has the chance, giving it a good look. removes himself from anthony and slides off of tinkerbell before patting his pants a little to smooth them out. trots over to the small crosswalk to push the button.

looks up and over at anthony in silence when the signal changes. wordlessly reaches out for his hand. ]

[ then, after a moment's hesitation, closes his hand around the boy's gently, just in time for the signal to change. ]

Look both ways.

[ gives a few enthusiastic nods quickly, turning his head right, left, then putting one foot in front of the other when everything is in the clear. ]

[ only gives a passing glimpse to his side to make certain there are no cars turning onto the road they're crossing. gives the boy's hand a light tug & starts moving forward. ]
