[ in that short time, he'd been knocking at the dangling toys some more, making them swing back & forth with enough speed that the baby seems entertained. glances back toward the door when he's seen nathania's approach & heard her announcement. ]

[ wanders on over, taking a seat next to him again. almost forgets to hand him his beverage, as she's too busy grinning stupidly at caleb playing with the baby. shakes her head and slides the strawberry milk on over, opening her own drink to take a sip of it while attempting to hide the smile. ]

[ leans back to settle himself properly before reaching over to grab at his drink. opening the bottle, he takes two big gulps & then lets out a pleased phew! ]

Danke! Is very good!

[ nods, though after a pause she wiggles closer to him. nudges him around a little, making him sit in a way where she can sit in his lap with her back against him. tilts her head backward to look up at him. ]

< Is this okay? >

[ opens his legs so that she's sitting on the ground with his legs framing her instead. wraps arms around her waist loosely & hunches forward so that he can rest his chin against her head. that done, he yaps out: ]

Ja! We are ready!

[ raises a fist in emphasis of their victory, ignoring the pizza for now so she can reach forward and pluck lyssa from his resting spot. sets him down in her lap and hands him a toy while she turns on the movie, adjusting the laptop's screen (and volume, turning it down enough to accommodate them both) before pressing play. rests against caleb comfortably, murmuring: ]

Um. I'm really glad you came over, Caleb. Thanks...

[ nuzzles at the top of nathania's head, eyes closing as he settles in to simply listen to the audio track of the movie (as is usual). gives her waist a comforting squeeze before relaxing again. ]

Gern geschehen. Is always nice to stay with Nathan-ee-ah.

[ cranes her neck over to the side to kiss him on the shoulder, as to not dislodge them from their current position. is quiet after that, simply watching the movie and getting so into it (and the pizza, every now and then when lyssa seems happy enough to rest in her crossed legs and chew on a toy) that she doesn't even realize that the two had started to doze off.

half-way through she decides to nudge caleb awake, saying that she's going to switch positions. ends up on her stomach, handing the baby over to caleb so he can lay on his back and rest lyssa on top of him. stays that way until the movie ends; sighs happily (finally got to watch it, even if she heard no commentary from the two beside her) and turns her head to look at them, blinking at the sight. rests her chin against her folded arms, smiling dumbly again at how cute they look. raises a hand to slowly stroke at caleb's hair, brushing her fingers against his cheeks and jawline before lifting up more to plant a small kiss on his lips, and then his forehead.

quietly, as to not disturb the baby: ]

Wakey wakey~

[ makes a small mrrr noise even when his brain comes back online like a computer. blinks emptily up at the ceiling for a moment, then glances at nathania. smiles softly, craning his head upward a bit to brush their noses together. ]

Guten Morgen.

[ nuzzles his nose lightly, scooting to move closer (if that were even possible). ]

Did you have a good nap?

Ja. Is easy to relax with baby and Nathan-ee-ah.

[ uses a hand to pinch and pull his cheek a little, even if she's smiling. ]

You were supposed to be watching the movie with me!

[ yelps & mumbles around his pinched cheeks. ]

Es tut mir leid! I listen for beginning! Listen, but baby is warm and. . .

It's fine, it's fine. [ removes the hand, brushing some hair away from his face. ] You can just watch another movie with me later.

Ja!

[ tilts his face into her touch, then seems to hesitate, as if saying his next words is some kind of offense: ] Ehh. . . or hear music?! If Nathan-ee-ah is okay. . .

Listen to music? [ thinks... then nods. ] Sure, I don't mind.

[ looks relieved & happy at the same time. ]

Danke! I feel nice when listen to old music. [ but then priorities catch up to him: ] Does Nathan-ee-ah like?

[ moves her hand to slowly stroke lyssa's head, rubbing his back a little as she hums in thought. ]

I enjoy it, yes. But I like almost any music genre.

But what is favourite of Nathan-ee-ah? We listen to that?

Classical, I think. I listened to it a lot growing up. [ perks up when a thought strikes her. ] But old time music is good, too! Liam used to like it!

[ blinks. translates... oh. wait. flails his hands as much as he can without hitting neither nathania nor the baby. ]

Nein, nein! I have bad English. Classical is with Mozart?

[ ... ? ] Yes, that's correct.

Then I mean classical!

Oh. [ pauses. smile tugs at her lips. ] Then I suppose we have the same taste in music.

[ reaches up to carefully touch at strands of her hair. ]
