[ wordlessly digs into his backpack again. takes out a bowl of instant ramen (http://i56.tinypic.com/30ub9lg.jpg), holding it up for anthony to see. ]

. . . !

[ instantly scoots forward a little to get a closer look, expression full of wonder. ] P-Pikachu noodles. . . !

[ puffs up a little bit in pride. rummages again to grab a familiar-looking plush (http://i54.tinypic.com/b8lrm1.jpg), holding that up to him instead. ]

[ blush deepens into something full-faced as he lifts his hands to hover around the plush even though he doesn't quite touch it yet. ]

P-P-Pi--!!

[ nods a few times, enthusiastic with anthony's response. squeezes the plush-- pi-KA-chu, or so it exclaims happily. ]

[ seems to flounder a little, then settles for putting a hand on the pikachu's head to give it a rub. ]

So. . . cute. . . !

[ watches him, looking quite pleased. lifts the plush to gently put its face against anthony's cheek, squeezing it again so that it says ka-chu! ]

[ turns his head so that he can rub his face into the plush. ]

. . . You came from Neverland.

[ tilts his head a little bit, almost as if he's questioning why he said that. nonetheless he puts the plush down to rest on his own lap, using a hand to tug on anthony's shirt again. scribbles with his free hand: ]

「 Hot water? 」

Hot water. . . ? [ scrubs at his eyes to try to push down his blush & regain some coherency. ]

. . . Could still try the cafe.

[ perks up and nods happily. shifts to begin putting things away before standing up, looking ready to go. ]

[ looks up at him from his seated position, a little puzzled before he slowly gets to his feet as well. ]

What about Nathan?

[ looks at his backpack, realizing that he can't get to his sketchpad easily anymore. takes out his phone instead, typing: ]

「 He's with itoko. 」

[ reads the message, then moves his eyes back at the boy's face. ]

English?

[ thinks about this. can't come up with the right word so he just goes with: ]

「 Mom's sister's daughter. 」

[ works that out in his head, then nods his understanding. turns to start walking in the direction of the elevator slowly. ]

[ scoots along next to, looking up at him intently with a few nods. ]

[ glances at him when they're waiting for the elevator. ]

Are you here on vacation?

[ types into his cellphone again. lifts it up. ]

「 I am visiting itoko. 」

. . . She lives with Nathan?

「 No. 」

[ & then, as an afterthought: ]

「 She said to come here if she's not around. 」

What about your parents?

「 In Japan. 」

[ can't help himself: ]
