[ shivers a little underneath the covers when a chill disturbs his slumber, tucking himself a bit closer to caleb to leech off of his warmth. after a moment or two he cracks an eye open, shifting his gaze on over to the window when he feels like something is amiss. blinks once, twice, then slowly sits up in the bed as he gets a closer look at the outside world.

when he sees the snow that had piled up over the night and continued to litter the ground he can't help but get on his knees, smooshing his face and hands up against the glass as if he were an overexcited child. pries himself away after the tiniest of bounces on the bed to instead direct his attention to his sleeping companion. places a hand on his shoulder and lightly shakes. ]

Caleb. Caleb!

Before is normal, as friend. Now is tame for Nathan.

[ pushes his nose to caleb's collarbone when he feels his face go warm. ]

Mmph. Too much stuff for me, not enough stuff for you.

[ is silent for a moment, not quite comprehending. then, carefully, he rubs nathan's back with a hand while saying: ]

Nein. Have enough. I am happy.

[ shifts a bit to once again look up at him. ]

[ leans down to press their foreheads together. grins. ]

[ slowly smiles at that, giving the tiniest of nods while keeping their connection. ]

[ & then he moves again, craning his neck on over to the clock. ]

It's still early. [ flops back down. ] Are you hungry? I can try to make something to eat.

[ immediately snuggles close to him when nathan settles. ]

Little hungry, but okay now. In more minute?

[ sighs, too content to do much more than relax. ]

You're requesting too many "more minute". You're gonna be fined, y'know.

[ nuzzles his nose into nathan's hair again before he stills at the boy's words. there's slight confusion over 'fined', but picks up the context well enough. ]

[ thinks about that for a moment when he hears the drop in caleb's tone, making him shake his head slightly. ]

[ expression doesn't change as he shifts to rest on his back, head turning in caleb's direction. ]

Did you used to do that kind of stuff with your old team?

[ blinks, genuinely surprised by the question enough to stop, think, gather his words & nod. ]

[ can't help but continue as the curiosity is too great, hand reaching out to play and stroke some of caleb's hair. ]

Did you spend the holidays with them?

[ hesitates for a moment, feeling a bit torn. but he nods again eventually, the motion slow & measured while he murmurs back quietly. ]

I spend every day with them. Is family.

[ expression drops a bit at the sudden change of mood he feels, making him move his hand away slowly in guilt. ]

[ shakes his head, nosing at the top of nathan's hair. hugs him closer. ]

Nein. Nathan not wrong. Is okay.

[ frown deepens at that for a moment longer before he shakes his head to rid himself of the bad thoughts, wiggling so that he can move his hands upward to land on caleb's cheeks. ]

Anyway, let's not waste anymore time. [ pats those cheeks a few times. ] Up, up! Snow awaits!
