[ shivers a little underneath the covers when a chill disturbs his slumber, tucking himself a bit closer to caleb to leech off of his warmth. after a moment or two he cracks an eye open, shifting his gaze on over to the window when he feels like something is amiss. blinks once, twice, then slowly sits up in the bed as he gets a closer look at the outside world.

when he sees the snow that had piled up over the night and continued to litter the ground he can't help but get on his knees, smooshing his face and hands up against the glass as if he were an overexcited child. pries himself away after the tiniest of bounces on the bed to instead direct his attention to his sleeping companion. places a hand on his shoulder and lightly shakes. ]

Caleb. Caleb!

[ long pause, trying to understand how that explanation explains what the word means. ]

It means adapting to home life. Uh. Taming?

[ eyes pop open so that he can properly beam, his brain making the connection at taming. ]

Like dog and cat. Angry dog turn happy dog.

[ lifts a hand to ruffle caleb's hair a little. ]

[ leans into that touch happily. ]

Good thing! I am tame with Nathan too.

[ ceases in the ruffling, resting his hand there instead. ]

But you always seemed tame enough to me.

Ja. Because I am with Nathan a lot.

[ nuzzles into the boy's hair a little. ]

Before is normal, as friend. Now is tame for Nathan.

[ pushes his nose to caleb's collarbone when he feels his face go warm. ]

Mmph. Too much stuff for me, not enough stuff for you.

[ is silent for a moment, not quite comprehending. then, carefully, he rubs nathan's back with a hand while saying: ]

Nein. Have enough. I am happy.

[ shifts a bit to once again look up at him. ]

Really?

[ leans down to press their foreheads together. grins. ]

[ slowly smiles at that, giving the tiniest of nods while keeping their connection. ]

[ & then he moves again, craning his neck on over to the clock. ]

It's still early. [ flops back down. ] Are you hungry? I can try to make something to eat.

[ immediately snuggles close to him when nathan settles. ]

Little hungry, but okay now. In more minute?

[ sighs, too content to do much more than relax. ]

You're requesting too many "more minute". You're gonna be fined, y'know.

[ nuzzles his nose into nathan's hair again before he stills at the boy's words. there's slight confusion over 'fined', but picks up the context well enough. ]

. . . Bad?

[ thinks about that for a moment when he hears the drop in caleb's tone, making him shake his head slightly. ]
