[ reaches down when lyssa makes grabby hands at her, hoisting him up to rest on her chest and shoulder. ]

If he adores Albert, then he's certainly not gonna be afraid of you.

[ shuffles his feet a bit. ]

Bad-- erm, that is father of baby! Baby like father because father help give life.

[ shakes her head a little. ]

Don't worry so much. [ gently removes lyssa's hand from her hair, holding him up for caleb to take. ] Here, hold him for me while I get some milk.

[ accepts the baby & holds it him close to his chest like he would hold anything that might break easily. after a moment, settles himself on the floor. looks up at nathania, nods. ]

Okay. I stay here.

[ flashes a brief smile, moving to the other side of the room where the necessary items are at. it doesn't take very long to retrieve an already-full bottle of milk and warm it up (it wasn't like albert and brianna to not keep a limitless supply around, after all) before making her way back, slowly lowering herself down to rest on her knees.

sets the bottle aside to show caleb how to cradle the baby, carefully shifting his arms around. ]

Here, hold him like this so you can feed him. [ once she's sure he's okay she hands over the bottle. ] Just place it on his mouth, he'll do all the work for you.

[ awkwardly mimics & does as he's told, holding the bottle over the baby's mouth within his reach. ]

This is good?

Mm. [ laughs lightly when lyssa latches on, lifting a hand to stroke his fuzzy head of hair. ] See?

[ watches aptly, ~~eyes sparkling~~ beaming down at the baby. ]

Good, good! Baby do good!

[ shifts so she can sit next to him fully, watching. flushes a little after a moment, obviously pleased. ]

You do good too. Really good.

[ looks up from where he's been concentrating on feeding the baby, brightening at the praise. ]

Danke! Do as Nathan-ee-ah say!

[ shakes her head a bit. ]

You'll make a good dad someday. [ pauses, thinking. mentally shrugs, continuing to stroke lyssa's hair. ] If you even want kids, that is.

[ blinks up at her at that, tilting his head in confusion. stutters out a few nonsense string of english before he forces himself to pause to go another route: ]

Nathan-ee-ah want baby?

[ already knows the answer, but looks elsewhere anyway in mock thought. finally smiles and takes a glance at him. ]

Maybe someday, when I'm old enough to properly handle one.

Is good to have goal!

You think so?

Ja! Is not bad, and is not only okay, so it is good!

[ opens her mouth, closes it. laughs lightly and decides to leave it at that, rubbing at the baby's stomach a bit. ]

Yeah, yeah it's good.

[ attention goes back to the baby, rocking back and forth. ]

Is good, is good! Is good, baby?

[ a smile tugs at her lips while continuing to watch, gently tugging the bottle from caleb's hold when it's empty. talks in a cute voice to lyssa briefly: ]

All gone! Yaaay! [ looks up at her companion. ] You did really good, Caleb.

[ puffs out his chest in pride. ]

Danke! I try!

[ ruffles his hair a little. ]

Are you okay with burping him? Or do you want me to do it instead?

[ ... ? ]

Bur. . . burping. . . [ blinks at her blankly. ]

Ah, um. < Burping. It's what you do after a baby eats, so you can get rid of excess air they take in when feeding. > [ stands, reaching out for the baby. ] < Here, let me show you. >

[ blinks again & hands the baby over to her, scooting in closer to watch. ]

[ takes the baby, adjusting his weight before stepping back a few paces to take a seat on the rocking chair beside the crib. places lyssa in the correct position before patting and rubbing his back. ]

< It's better to do it this way. He might get crabby and uncomfortable if not. >
